This recipe came out really, really good. It's also on the light side; everything we make we try to do with less whatever, less cheese, less cream, less fat. I don't need pounds of butter in my diet, I am unhealthy enough from my heart medicine (ahem, nightly glass of wine).I've made some life changes this year, and that includes trying to become a better cook. Hubby and I are always on the lookout for quick and easy food and dessert (low-cal is just a bonus) ideas. Here's one that we make many nights out of the week when you need a little something sweet but don't necessarily want a bowl of ice cream. Nutty Yogurt Bliss "Amazing low-cal, easy to make dessert!"Prep Time: 5 min Cook Time: 0 Total Time: 5 min Yield: 1 container (6 servings)Ingredients: 2 1/2 cups yogurt (greek yogurt is best) 1 cup pecans 1 tbsp maple syrup 1 tsp vanilla Topping: Fruit of your choice Almond slices (optional)Instructions: Mix all ingredients (except Toppings) in a blender until smooth. Top with garnish/fruit of your choice. Eat and Enjoy!Let us know what you thought!
